Who We Are
GRIT Infrastructure is the premier underground utility construction services provider to municipalities, utilities,and general contractors in the Midwest. We deliver Directional Boring, Excavation, and Jack & Bore auger drilling in-house, with union and non-union workforces and 200 professionals across Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
GRIT is a group of family-built underground contractors, each with decades in its own market. When a company joins us, the name stays on the trucks, the leadership stays in the seat, and the clients keep the same people answering the phone. What owners gain is scale they could not build alone: a shared equipment fleet, deeper technical expertise, back-office systems that take the administrative weight off, and the financial strength to go after bigger work. We are actively looking for clients who want to work with that and owners who want to join that.

What We Do
Directional Boring
Trenchless installation under roads, rivers, railroads, drives, and landscaping in pipe sizes from 2” to 42. Across our operating companies, experienced operators and modern locating equipment keep surface disruption and restoration costs down for every job.
Excavation for WATER, SEWER, POWER & GAS LINES
Construction, repair, replacement, and maintenance of sanitary sewer, water, septic, power, and gas lines, delivered in-house across our operating companies. We handle municipal systems, utility systems, commercial sites, and the taps and services that connect them.
Hydro Excavation
High-pressure water and vacuum recovery to dig safely around live utilities. Our crews use it to lower strike risk, keep the work area cleaner, and reduce restoration compared to mechanical digging.
Safety and Quality
Safety is the foundation everything else at GRIT Infrastructure is built on. We have an EMR < 1.0; our teams can and do stop jobs if something is unsafe, and we work with clients who have the same philosophy.
Every crew trains continuously, works under dedicated safety professionals, and is held to the same standard on a municipal job as a private one—including the prevailing-wage-capable public improvement work our operating companies are equipped to perform.
